Raphie (she/her) is a qualified art therapist who offers a calm, compassionate, and collaborative space to explore your therapeutic needs. Her approach is warm, human, and attentive, offering space to be heard, even through silence. She works flexibly and non-directively, often taking a facilitative role that allows you to lead the process while being gently guided.
No previous experience with art is needed. Raphie believes the creative process itself is therapeutic, helping to express thoughts, feelings, and memories that may be difficult to put into words. Through making the intangible tangible, Raphie has seen that art therapy can support emotional processing, rebuild a sense of self, and reconnect you with intuition, play, and personal power.
Sessions are tailored to you, with ongoing reflection and collaboration to support your goals. Her practice is rooted in psychodynamic and person-centred approaches, alongside psychoeducation, and adapts these frameworks to suit each individual’s needs. She also places importance on social, cultural, and lived contexts when understanding an individual’s mental health.
She graduated from Queen Margaret University in 2025 and has experience working with children, young people, and adults around trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction-related impacts, loss, transitions, and self-esteem in individual and group sessions as well as charity and school-based settings.
